KETO BREAD ROLLS

This Keto Bread Roll recipe is by FAR the best gluten free bread we've ever tried. We wish we could take the credit for creating this delicious Keto Bread roll, but we can't. Our friend, Stephanielynn shared this recipe with us a couple of years ago and we just loved it. Since then, we've been making many different bread recipes with it. You can toast these. You can make croutons with them. Pretty much anything you can do with bread, you can do with these rolls. We haven't experimented yet by trying to bake a whole batch in a loaf pan to make sandwhich bread, but we feel like it'd be a great sandwhich bread. If you guys have tried it or decide to try it in a loaf pan, please comment below by letting us know.

We usually will double the recipe to make close to 12. They are best out of the oven warm with some butter. YUM! These make great rolls for Thanksgiving that even people not on the Keto diet will love them. It really is the most convincing gluten free bread we've ever had. This recipe below is taken from www.dietdoctor.com[1]. See recipe below.

INGREDIENTS 5 tbsp organic psyllium husk powder- we like this one

1¼ cups almond flour- we like this brand

2 tsp baking powder- make sure your baking powder doesn't have corn starch in it.

1 tsp sea salt- we love Redmonds brand for a highh quality mineral-rich sea salt

1 cup water

2 tsp apple cider vinegar- This one is our favorite brand

3 egg whites

2 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Bring the water to a boil.

  3. Add vinegar and egg whites to the dry ingredients, and combine well. Add boiling water, while beating with a hand mixer for about 30 seconds. Don't over mix the dough, the consistency should resemble Play-Doh.

  4. Moisten hands with a little olive oil and shape dough into 6 separate rolls. Place on a greased baking sheet. Top with optional sesame seeds.

  5. Bake on lower rack in the oven for 50–60 minutes, depending on the size of your bread rolls. They're done when you hear a hollow sound when tapping the bottom of the bun.

  6. Serve with butter and toppings of your choice.

Enjoy! Let us know how you guys like them as well as if you try them in different recipes :)
