Naughty-but-Nice Hot Chocolate Recipe

The CHOCOHOLIC

If you guys have ever met Dr. Holly, you know by now that she LOVES chocolate. Her #1 pregnancy craving was homemade chocolate milk. I will have to post that recipe for you guys another day! Good thing that raw cacao is healthy! I was surprised when my son was born that he wasn't made of chocolate! That little boy will never be deficient in magnesium (cacao contains lots of it). I'm glad that her cravings weren't very naughty! :) But one recipe that I came up with that SHE LOVED was this hot chocolate recipe. I pretty much created more work for myself when I came up with this recipe because Dr. Holly wanted me to make it all of the time! But i'm glad she loved it! Our patients also love it. It was such a hit at our recipe night that we had!

One of the reasons why I love it too is because it literally is the same recipe as the Sea Salt Caramel Latte Recipe. Make sure to check that recipe out here.

The RECIPE:

1 C Organic Almond Milk

2 Tbsp Raw Cacao Powder

2 Tbsp Grass Fed Butter

1 Tbs Organic Coconut Oil

3 Tbsp Organic Grade B Maple Syrup (we also like using Sweet Leaf Chocolate Stevia :))

Pinch of Sea Salt

Optional: You can add a splash of water if you prefer your Hot Chocolate more viscous.

Optional: Dash of cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:

1. Place all ingredients in sauce pan

2. Mix until all butter and oil is melted

3. Stir and do not let boil. Typically takes about 5 mins to heat up.

4. Serve & ENJOY! :)
